Washington, D.C., April 12, 2021 - Mosaic Muslim Federal Employee Association – formerly known as Muslim Feds – formally launches on May 1, 2021.
The Executive Board invites you to attend our annual Ramadan and Launch event on May 1. It will be an evening to discuss our expanded operations, long-term plans, and to celebrate our community.
After over six years of serving the community of Muslim federal employees, we are proud to announce major plans to expand our operations.
We have filed our paperwork to become a non-profit organization and are proud to be sponsored by the American Muslim Community Fund while we await our 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.
We are thrilled to partner with vPeer, our new super-charged virtual platform. Owned by a Muslim woman tech entrepreneur, vPeer is a cutting-edge communications tool that combines the best of WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Slack. Details on the leap to vPeer at the May 1 event.
We have developed a new membership model! Members will have exclusive access to members-only events, Mosaic’s digital platforms, and professional development and networking opportunities.
We have launched Mosaic’s official social media handles! Like, Follow, and Share Mosaic!
If you are new to our community, here is a little about us:
We created this group in 2015 to serve as a gathering place for Muslim Americans in federal government and to help those who aspire to serve. Our vision is to support American Muslims serving in government and to draw more Muslim Americans into public service. We seek to elevate public service as a prestigious and honorable career path and as a call to action for the faithful.
Mosaic’s mission is to establish a professional network of Muslim Americans in the federal government dedicated to career advancement, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion. We advance our mission by:
Promoting professional development and leadership training;
Serving as a gateway for the recruitment of Muslim Americans into the federal space;
Serving as an advocate of equal opportunity for Muslim federal employees;
Gathering and disseminating information to Muslims in the federal government;
Providing a nonpartisan platform on major issues of local, regional, and national significance that affect Muslim Americans in the federal government; and
Serving as a venue to grow a greater sense of community among Muslim Americans in the federal government.
As always, our team is here to serve and discuss anything you would like. Please reach out to us at contact@mosaicfeds.org with any questions or comments!
Your Mosaic Executive Board,
Razi Hashmi, Affnan Mohammad, Rabeah Sabri, Ali Reza Malik & Tannaz Haddadi
