American Muslims have served in all major U.S. wars since the War of 1812 to the recent Gulf War, Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan. There are currently over 6,000 Muslims serving across all branches of the U.S. military. It is estimated that 15 or more American Muslims have died in combat in recent wars, and an unknown amount in total.

If you know of any Muslim service-members, or Gold Star families who should be honored for future Memorial Day commemorations, please reach out to Mosaic with their names and stories at contact@mosaicfeds.org.
